JPML Denies Plaintiffs’ Request to Centralize Cymbalta Injury Actions

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has denied plaintiffs’ request to centralize Cymbalta injury actions filed against Eli Lilly & Co., ruling that the procedural posture of the actions varies significantly and common discovery has already taken place in the earlier-filed actions.

In the Dec. 10 order, the panel further explained that centralization is not warranted because only a limited number of plaintiffs’ counsel are involved in the cases.
