The N.J.-based pharmaceutical giant reports that it faces a multitude of lawsuits stemming from the use of Propulsid, which was manufactured by subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceuticals. In the wake of publicity following the withdraw of Propulsid from general sales in 2000, the company says, more than 700 lawsuit comprising claims filed by more than 2,800 people have been filed in state and federal courts across the county.
