Fla. Federal Jury to Decide Whether Zoll Defectively Manufactured Defibrillator Vest

MIAMI — A jury will decide whether Zoll Services Inc.’s defibrillator vest was defectively manufactured, causing it to malfunction and cause a woman’s death, a Florida federal judge has ruled.

In an Aug. 13 order, Judge Darrin Gayles of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida further found there are questions of fact as to whether the deceased detrimentally relied upon Zoll’s representations regarding its LifeVest.
