6 Biomet M2a Hip System Cases Scheduled for Trial Following MDL Remand

CHICAGO — Six cases targeting Biomet’s M2a-Magnum and M2a-38 hip replacement systems have been set for trial following the multidistrict litigation court’s remand to their transferor jurisdictions, according to recent scheduling orders.
The first case, Michaelis v. Biomet Inc., will be tried on Aug. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Judge Ruben Castillo will preside over the proceedings.
As for the remaining five cases, the Garnes trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 20 in the Southern District of West Virginia, Medlin is set for Oct. 7 in the Eastern District of Louisiana, Abram ...
