Settlement Conference Rescheduled in Conn. Federal Applied Underwriters Action




HARTFORD, Conn. — A Connecticut federal judge has agreed to reschedule a settlement conference in a dispute arising from Applied Underwriters Inc.’s “EquityComp” workers’ compensation program.

In a Jan. 15 calendar entry, order, Magistrate Judge William Garfinkle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut scheduled the settlement conference for March 27. The conference had originally been set for Jan. 9.

In 2013, Aiello Home Services obtained workers’ compensation insurance through the EquityComp program provided by AUI and its affiliates, California Insurance Company (CIC), Applied Risk Services (ARS), and AUCRA.
