Missouri High Court Won’t Hear Appeal of Order Tossing $55 Million Talc Verdict




ST. LOUIS –– The Missouri Supreme Court will not weigh in on an order throwing out a $55 million talcum powder verdict in which an intermediate appellate court found that the trial court did not have jurisdiction over the claims.

In an Oct. 30 docket entry, the Missouri Supreme Court denied an application seeking transfer of the appeal; in August, an intermediate appellate court denied efforts by the plaintiffs to have the court re-visit its earlier order.
