Calif. Jury Reaches Defense Verdict in Asbestos Cosmetic Talcum Powder Case Against J&J

EUREKA, Calif. –– A California jury has reached a defense verdict at the conclusion of a trial in which a woman contended that she developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos fibers in Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products.
The California Superior Court for Eureka County jury reached the verdict on Nov. 14 after a seven-week trial, according to published reports.
Plaintiff Carla Allen asserted the claims, arguing that her use of the products caused her to develop mesothelioma.
