Parties Reach Settlement in Asbestos Talcum Powder Action Shortly After Jury Selection Commenced




LOS ANGELES –– The parties involved in an asbestos talcum powder against Colgate-Palmolive in which the plaintiff said his use of Cashmere Bouquet led him to develop mesothelioma have reached a settlement agreement, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin.

Jury selection in the proceedings had begun June 28 in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County. Opening arguments were scheduled for July 9; Judge Frederick C. Shaller was assigned to the case.
