Wash. Court Limits, Precludes Testimony of Several Experts in Asbestos Dryer Felt Exposure Suit

SEATTLE –– A Washington federal court has granted in part motions challenging expert testimony in an asbestos case, concluding that one expert could not testify as to any numerical range of exposure.

In the Feb. 12 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington limited the testimony of Dr. Allan Smith and precluded the testimony of Drs. David Tarin and Richard Cohen, saying the latter two relied on unreliable “every exposure” causation theories.
