Defendants in Pennsylvania Asbestos Talc Case Move to Transfer Venue

PITTSBURGH –– Several defendants named in an asbestos-containing talcum powder lawsuit have moved to transfer venue, maintaining that a nearby county is more suitable to hear the claims.

In an Oct. 2 brief filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Allegheny County explained that the plaintiffs live and allege exposure at the nearby Cumberland County.

In an amended complaint filed Aug. 4, the plaintiffs stated that Mary Herron frequently used cosmetic talcum products for approximately 30 years, purchasing those products at the local Rite Aid Pharmacies. As a result of her use of these products –– which the …
