90 Biomet M2a Hip MDL Cases Dismissed From MDL as Settled, Fully Funded

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The judge overseeing the federal Biomet M2a Magnum hip implant litigation docket has dismissed 90 cases that according to counsel for both sides have been settled and fully funded.

On Aug. 31, Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana noted the parties stipulated to dismissal of the cases.

In a July order, Judge Miller explained that the parties jointly submitted a third list of settled and fully-funded cases that remained pending in the MDL. The order noted that Biomet has deposited into escrow settlement funds …
