Missouri Appellate Court Asks Talc Parties in Appeal of $72 Million Verdict to File Briefs Regarding Applicability of Supreme Court BMS Opinion




ST. LOUIS – A Missouri appellate court has asked the parties involved in the appeal of a $72 million talcum powder verdict to submit memorandum addressing how the U.S. Supreme Court’s holding in Bristol-Meyers Squibb Co. “affects issues raised by the parties in this appeal.”

In a June 22 docket entry, the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, asked the parties to file the briefs by July 5, “after which the matter will be taken under submission.”
