La. Court Allows Chemical Exposure Plaintiffs to Amend Complaint to Provide Citizenship of Defendant
June 19, 2017
BATON ROUGE, La. –– A Louisiana federal court has permitted a chemical exposure plaintiff leave to amend the complaint in order to cure deficiencies regarding the citizenship of some of the parties.
The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana issued the order allowing the amendment on June 6; the plaintiff filed the requested amended complaint the same day.
The plaintiffs originally filed their complaint in February, contending that James Million’s employment in the chemical plant industry for more than 40 years caused him to come into contact with a number of hazardous and toxic chemicals.
