HarrisMartin: Jury Reaches Defense Verdict in Second Xarelto Bellwether Trial

NEW ORLEANS — Jurors have reached a defense verdict in favor of Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Bayer in the second bellwether Xarelto trial, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana reached the verdict just moments ago, after more than four hours of deliberations. The trial began May 31 before Judge Eldon Fallon.

The jury’s decision is the second defense verdict reached in a Xarelto case in less than two months; on May 3, jurors reached a defense verdict in the first bellwether trial to take place in the national coordinated multidistrict litigation docket. …
