CHICAGO –– The 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has affirmed dismissal orders entered in favor of Weyerhaeuser Co. and Owens-Illinois tossing plaintiffs’ non-occupational asbestos exposure claims, in part calling the claims frivolous and ordering the plaintiffs’ counsel to show why sanctions should not be imposed for violations of type-volume limitations.
