N.J. Judge Denies Broker’s Bid to Dismiss Malpractice Claims in Sandy Coverage Action

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — A New Jersey judge has refused to dismiss malpractice claims asserted against a broker by a party supplies company whose Superstorm Sandy property damage claim was denied, finding the plaintiff has adequately alleged a “special relationship” between the parties, such that the broker may be liable under New York law.
