J&J Removes Multi-Plaintiff Case Filed by Plaintiffs Who Received Multi-Million Verdicts; 3rd Case Was Set for Trial Next Week

ST. LOUIS –– Plaintiffs involved in the multi-plaintiff talcum powder suit that has spawned two separate multi-million verdicts have filed an emergency motion to remand their case after defendants removed it to federal court last week.

In the motion, filed Sept. 19 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the plaintiffs argue that the defendants’ only motivation behind removal is to receive a continuance of the Sept. 26 trial date scheduled for the claims of a third plaintiff.
