WASHINGTON, D.C. –– A new talcum powder lawsuit has been filed in Washington, D.C.’s state court, contending that use of the defendants’ products for 30 years caused the plaintiff to develop ovarian cancer.
Pittsburgh residents Linda and Mark Nard filed the complaint on Aug. 19 in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, alleging that Linda’s ovarian cancer was caused by “regular and prolonged” use of talcum-powder-containing products.
The new complaint joins two other active talcum powder lawsuits filed in the court, with the first set for trial in July 2017. [Oules, No. 14-0008327]
