NEW YORK — A New York federal magistrate judge has ordered the plaintiff in a Superstorm Sandy damage coverage action to supplement his answers to several interrogatories made by the defendant insurer, ruling that the plaintiff failed to provide the insurer with a basis for his allegations with the requisite specificity.

On Sept. 6, Magistrate Judge A. Kathleen Tomlinson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York ordered the plaintiff to provide the names of the various individuals involved in the adjustment of his claim and the damage estimates, and the sources of his factual information.
