Defendants in Pinnacle Hip Implant Litigation Seek Testimony of Non-Party Witness in U.K.

DALLAS –– Defendants involved in the multidistrict litigation for injuries allegedly related to DePuy’s Pinnacle Hip Implant have asked the court for assistance in obtaining the testimony of a non-party witness located in the United Kingdom, saying that the witness has “evidence and will provide testimony that is relevant to the claims and defenses” in the next bellwether trial.

In their Aug. 18 motion, the defendants asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas to return the signed Letter of Request to counsel, who will then transmit the Letter to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the …
