Parties Reach Settlement in Florida Title Reinsurance Action, Judge Says

TAMPA, Fla. — Old Republic National Title Insurance Co., First American Title Insurance Co., and Stewart Title Guaranty Co. have settled their claims and counterclaims in a breach of contract action involving title reinsurance, according to a recent dismissal order filed in Florida federal court.

On Aug. 2, Judge James S. Moody Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida dismissed the action without prejudice, explaining that if no party chooses to move to reopen the action within 60 days, it will be dismissed with prejudice.
