Tenn. Woman Files Talcum Powder Suit in Federal Court; Says She Used Products ‘Nearly Her Entire Life’

COLUMBIA, Tenn. –– A Tennessee woman has filed a talc-based powder exposure suit in federal court, accusing the Johnson & Johnson defendants of ignoring decades of medical research linking talcum powder to cancer.

Plaintiff Patricia Kuhn filed the complaint on July 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, contending that her “regular and prolonged” use of talcum powder caused her to develop ovarian cancer.

Kuhn explained in the complaint that she was born in 1944 and used the defendants’ Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower products for “nearly her entire life.”
