N.Y. Court Denies Colgate-Palmolive’s Motion for Summary Judgment in Asbestos-Containing Talc Case




NEW YORK –– A New York state court has denied Colgate-Palmolive’s motion for summary judgment in a asbestos-containing talc case, rejecting the defendant’s challenges to the timeliness of the claims and both general and specific causation.

In its June 22 ruling, the New York Supreme Court for New York County Court said, in part, that the issues raised by the defendant in the case involving its Cashmere Bouquet product were disputed ones of fact that should be addressed by a jury.
