Parties in Pennsylvania Benzene Action Reach Settlement Agreement

PITTSBURGH –– The parties remaining in a benzene lawsuit have reached a settlement agreement, according to a notice of hearing issued by a Pennsylvania federal court, just weeks after the court warned the parties that no further extensions would be granted as to expert deposition and discovery deadlines.

According to a hearing on settlement conference notice issued on April 6 by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the parties “negotiated in good faith the terms and conditions of the settlement and release.”
