Ill. Court Grants Unopposed Motions to Dismiss for Lack of Personal Jurisdiction in Asbestos Case

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. –– An Illinois federal court has granted a number of unopposed motions to dismiss filed in an asbestos exposure suit, agreeing with the defendants that the complaint failed to prove that the court had personal jurisdiction over the defendants.

Because there are no remaining claims pending against the defendants, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois also closed the case, according to the Jan. 6 order.
