Arkansas Statewide Class Action Filed Against the Manufacturer of Hormone Replacement Drug

LITTLE ROCK-Two Arkansas women filed a statewide class action suit against the manufacturer of Prempro seeking restitution and reimbursement of costs for the purchase of the hormone replacement therapy, attorneys fees and the establishment of a medical monitoring program. Cook, et al., v. Wyeth, Inc., No. 02-CV-00529 (E.D. Ark.).
The Aug. 22 complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas also seeks class certification for plaintiffs who reside in Arkansas and used Prempro within the last three calendar years.
