JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - American Heritage Life Insurance Co. is urging a Florida federal judge to send to arbitration a state court dispute over reinsurance trust account funds, asserting that it falls within the parties' arbitration agreement. American Heritage Life Insurance Co. v. First Automotive Producers, et al., No. 09-00216 (M.D. Fla.).
In a March 3 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, American Heritage contends that the state court action, filed by First Automotive Producers Reinsurance Company Ltd. and Sandia Life & Casualty Insurance Co., arises from a contract containing an arbitration provision.
