Court Asked to Tap Umpire to Oversee 9/11 Coverage Arbitration

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - In a dispute involving reinsurance coverage for property damage caused by the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Arrowood Indemnity Co. has asked a North Carolina federal judge to appoint an umpire to oversee its arbitration with AXA Re. Arrowood Indemnity Co. v. AXA Re, et al., No. 3:09-cv-00075 (W.D. N.C.).

In a Feb. 26 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Arrowood is urging the court to appoint one of its three candidates umpire.
