GREENVILLE, Miss. - A federal judge has granted summary judgment to former employers of a marine worker after concluding that the worker failed to provide any evidence to support his claim that his lung cancer was caused by exposure to workplace diesel exhaust. Brooks v. Ingram Barge Co., et al., No. 4:07CV62 (N.D. Miss.).

Chief Judge Michael P. Mills of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi entered the order on Dec. 2, having ruled on Nov. 21 that experts supporting plaintiff Oscar Brooks failed to link Brooks' cancer to diesel exhaust.
