OAKLAND, Calif. - Counsel for plaintiff Elbert Thomas and for defendants preparing for a December trial have filed approximately 31 motions in limine to date, seeking limits on expert testimony and references to lobbying activities, relatives' health issues and other matters the parties don't want jurors to hear. Thomas, et al. v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. RG-06-272122 [Welding Products Cases, JCCP No. 4368] (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
