Appeals Court Reinstates Warning Claims in Welding Case

CLEVELAND - An Ohio appellate court has reversed a trial court and reinstated failure-to-warn claims by a welder against Lincoln Electric Co. and other welding product manufacturers. Boyd, et al. v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 90315 (Ohio Ct. App., 8th Dist.).
The court said in a 29-page opinion on Nov. 26 that Joseph Boyd raised sufficient questions of fact to allow trial on those warning claims, but the court affirmed summary judgment on aiding and abetting and express warranty claims.
