Judge Denies Motion for Judgment in Missouri Silica Case

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A judge has denied a motion to dismiss a former gunsmith and machinist's silica complaint, which defendants said did not include enough specific information to enable them to prepare a defense. Herod v. Pangborn Corp., et al., No. 0716-CV36788 (Mo. Cir. Ct., Jackson Cty.).
Judge Kelly J. Moorhouse of the Jackson County Circuit Court issued the ruling Nov. 7 as part of several other procedural decisions. No opinion was issued along with the order denying the motion for a more definite statement and judgment on the pleadings filed earlier this year by Pangborn Corp.
