FARGO, N.D. - A North Dakota sandblaster has sued about a dozen companies for allegedly causing his silica-related illness. Waclawik v. Aearo Co., et al., No. 09-08-C-4010 (N.D. Dist. Ct., Cass Cty.).
Jim Waclawik filed his complaint in Cass County District Court, alleging that the defendants failed to warn him of hazards associated with inhaling silica dust and that they failed to provide him with information about protective equipment that would have prevented his exposures.
