HOUSTON - The Texas Attorney General's office has filed a brief stating that it has good reason to intervene in a constitutional challenge to the state's silica medical criteria law. In Re: Texas State Silica Products Liability Litigation, No. 2004-70000 (Texas Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).
In a Nov. 7 filing with the Texas District Court for Harris County, the AG's office responded to a motion to strike its request for intervention, saying that the office's interest in the case is a compelling one that presents a "textbook case" for State intervention.
