Stoody Files Cross-Complaint against Deloro Stellite

OAKLAND, Calif. - Stoody Company Inc., a defendant in the coordinated welding fume cases in the Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court, has filed a cross-complaint for indemnity against Deloro Stellite L.P. in the trial scheduled to begin on Dec. 1. Thomas v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al. [In Re Welding Products Cases], No. JCCP4368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Superior Court Judge Robert Freedman granted Stoody's motion for leave to file on Oct 8, but stipulated that the cross-claims against Deloro Stellite would be "bifurcated, separated and/or severed from the underlying case."
