AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A Georgia man who lives in a mobile home located beside a Ready Mix concrete plant has sued, claiming that dust from the facility caused him to develop a life-threatening lung disease. Sievert v. Lafarge North America Inc., et al., No. 08-147 (S.D. Ga.).
Emil Sievert contends in a complaint removed recently to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia that the operators of the LaFarge Ready Mix plant were aware that pollutants from the facility were "going onto the property" of the M & M Mobile Home Park where Sievert resides.
