DETROIT -- A group of defendants have filed a motion to exclude the diagnostic opinions of R. Michael Kelly, M.D., in 80 asbestos cases slated for a November trial setting, arguing that in the majority of the cases where Dr. Kelly diagnosed an asbestos-related illness, independent doctors found no sign of an asbestos-related impairment. Hatcher, et al. v. Sure Seal Products Co., et al., No. 04-431471-N (Mich. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Wayne Cty.).
