OAKLAND, Calif. - The California court hearing the coordinated welding fume cases has scheduled a hearing for Nov. 11 on a defense motion for summary judgment based on an alleged lack of product identification. In re Welding Products Cases, No. JCCP004368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court Judge Robert B. Freedman heard argument on the motion by Genuine Parts on Sept. 17 before ordering a continuance.
Several defendants named by plaintiff Elbert Thomas in the next case scheduled for trial have moved for summary judgment on product identification grounds.
