CLEVELAND - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has transferred a Mississippi welder's case from federal court in that state to the MDL in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Baxter v. Airgas-Gulf States, Inc., et al., No. 1:08CV307-LG-RHW (N.D. Ohio).
The Aug. 8 transfer order came three weeks after the case was removed by defendants from the Jackson County (Miss.) Circuit Court to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi on federal officer grounds.
