OAKLAND, Calif. - Liaison counsel for California plaintiffs and defendants have listed 16 cases subject to full discovery in preparation for trial in Alameda County Superior Court, but the parties disagree on whether full discovery should be limited to the first nine cases. In re: Welding Products Cases, JCCP No. 4368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Plaintiffs said that "full discovery on any additional cases . . . will not advance the litigation," while defendants say that the court indicated in a previous case management order that "approximately 30 cases should be subject to active discovery" at any one time.
