DENVER - A federal judge in Colorado has dismissed for lack of jurisdiction a complaint by a widow alleging that her husband's parkinsonism and kidney failure were caused by heavy metal fumes ingested while he was employed at a Chrysler manufacturing facility in California. Jenkins v. Chrysler LLC, No. 08-cv-01069-BNB (D. Colo.).
Senior District Judge Zita L. Weinshienk of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado ruled on July 7 that while the court was inclined to construe the pro se complaint liberally, there was nothing alleged that would give the Colorado court jurisdiction.
