OAKLAND, Calif. - Plaintiff and defense counsel have agreed to re-schedule a trial from Sept. 2 to Dec. 1 to allow the new trial judge time to become familiar with the case (Thomas, et al. v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. RG-06-272122 [Welding Products Cases, JCCP No. 4368] (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Attorneys for Elbert and Geraldine Thomas submitted a stipulated application to continue on June 17 to Superior Court Judge Bonnie Sabraw, who presides over California's Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding welding products cases but has announced her intention to retire on Aug. 8.
