Louisiana Court Will Hold Hearing on Andre Fees in August

NEW ORLEANS - Orleans Parish District Judge Lloyd J. Medley Jr. is expected to schedule a hearing for early August on a defense request for $190,675.94 in fees and costs in the wake of a recent defense verdict. Andre v. A.O. Smith Corp., No. 2003-11573 and Barras v. A.O. Smith Corp., No. 2004-873 (La. Civ. Dist. Ct., Orleans Parish).

Judge Medley granted the motion for costs on March 12 in his judgment, and defendants filed the motion for fees and expert witness and trial costs on April 24.
