RALEIGH, N.C. - A machinist failed to prove that his chronic lung problems were caused by exposure to silica dust in the workplace, therefore he may not collect workers' compensation benefits, the North Carolina Court of Appeals affirmed June 3. Glenn v. TDM Corp., et al., No. COA07-1194 (N.C. App.).
The appellate panel, led by Judge Barbara Jackson, agreed with the state workers' compensation commission that William Glenn failed to prove that he suffers from silicosis.
