Avesta Polarit Answers Allegations in Calif. Master Complaint

OAKLAND, Calif. - A Swedish supplier of consumables used in welding stainless steel products has filed its answer to the Amended Master Complaint in California's coordinated Welding Products Cases, affirmatively denying allegations of liability and asserting 33 affirmative defenses. Avesta Polarit Inc., a division of Sweden-based Avesta Welding AB, filed its answer on March 19 in Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court, in response to its listing as a defendant in Henry Garcia v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. RG06255317 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
