NEW ORLEANS - Attorneys for the plaintiff in a federal welding fumes case have asked the court to expedite its decision on their motion to remand to Louisiana state court, citing the plaintiff's poor health. Pellegal v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 2:08-cv-00030 (E.D. La.).
The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana is also considering motions to dismiss claims by Etienne Pellegal, who alleges that 25 years of exposure to workplace welding fumes caused his laryngeal cancer, respiratory problems and memory loss.
