JACKSON, Miss. -- Plaintiffs who have asserted aiding and abetting causes of action against welding defendants have asked the Mississippi Supreme Court to recognize the claim as a viable cause of action for the first time, according to a brief recently filed in the high court. Caterpillar Inc. v. White, No. 2006-IA-01678; A.O. Smith Corp. v. Thompson, et al., No. 2006-IA-01682 (Miss. Sup. Ct.).
