EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - More than 30 silicosis claims recently transferred by an Illinois state court judge to a neighboring county have been voluntarily dismissed, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing. Brogdon v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 05-L-1003 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
Orders of dismissal were filed in Madison County Circuit Court on Nov. 20, nearly two weeks after Judge Daniel Stack granted a defense motion to transfer the cases to Cook County Circuit Court.
