LOS ANGELES - Plaintiffs in a 200-plaintiff silica case have appealed a court order sustaining defense demurrers on several grounds, including that the plaintiffs failed to include enough basic information about their claims. Navarrette v. Armite Laboratories Inc., No. B293997 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
The notice of appeal was filed Nov. 21 in California's 2nd District Court of Appeal, challenging a ruling by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Wendell Mortimer Jr., who threw out the complaint after the plaintiffs were given four opportunities to amend and include additional core information.
