COLUMBIANA, Ala. - The widow of a former Alabama machinist who died two years after he was diagnosed with silicosis has sued dozens of companies, claiming they were responsible for causing her husband's death. Lee v. 3M, et al., No. n/a (Ala. Cir., Shelby Cty.).
In a lawsuit filed Nov. 20 in Alabama's Shelby County Circuit Court, Flora T. Lee accuses the defendants of, among other things, failing to warn her husband that the sandblasting that he worked around at ABC Rail in Calera, Ala., could cause him to suffer silicosis.
